Characteristics of Godly Leadership

(Based on the Leadership Model of Joshua)

1. Godly leaders fear God and not man. (Numbers 13:28-33, 14:9)

2. Godly leaders are filled with the Spirit. (Numbers 27:18)

3. Godly leaders follow God wholeheartedly. (Numbers 32:10-12)

4. Godly leaders show people how to experience God’s best. (Deuteronomy 3:28, Joshua 21:43-45)

5. Godly leaders seek divine wisdom. (Deuteronomy 34:9)

6. Godly leaders are strong and courageous. (Joshua 1:6-9)

7. Godly leaders base their lives on the Word of God. (Joshua 1:8, 8:34-35)

8. Godly leaders encourage people to serve God. (Joshua 22:5, 24:15, Judges 2:7)

9. Godly leaders are exalted by God. (Joshua 3:7, 4:14)
